Commissioned Project by the Reconstruction Agency: The Third “Hamarassen” Kitchen in Genki Village

On March 15, 2014, the third installment of Hamarassen Kitchen (program details here) took place at Nagahoragenki temporary housing village in Rikuzentakata City and featured Chef Hideaki Yamauchi of Uchiyama, a restaurant specializing in traditional Japanese food based in Ginza, Tokyo.
Arriving directly from Tokyo, Chef Yamauchi conducted a cooking demonstration using the recipes that he had carefully put together for the participants. Following the cooking session, participants received a health assessment. The participants were also joined by Shinjiro Koizumi, Parliamentary Secretary of Reconstruction, who was there visiting the area.
This event was co-hosted by NPO aoSORAnt, the Hopes and Connections (Kibou to Kizuna) Project of NPO Japan Clinical Research Support Unit (J-CRSU), and the Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI).
